Who picks the pieces?

Broken and still discovering the ropes with JC, one thing is for sure; This is not a once and for all deal but it is a process. People come in and out of your life, some once some several times and through it all it is your response to them that determines whether the brokenness proliferates or diminishes.
My birthday yesterday was a case in hand. Though hurting physically 'plusier' FB birthday wishes and love made me almost forget my pain killers. God does indeed use people to patch us up...

Shaking the NEST!

In the womb is a comfort, Luxury hard to imagine.  Another body sweating or burning calories, so you are never too cold or too hot, Regulated climate.  Umbilical cord delivering oxygen and nutrients while cleaning out waste... wow the nostalgia.  Another person taking full responsibility, to see that all pans out for the life that is you.  If they stumble they make sure they fall in a way that protects you.   The nest follows... comfort & luxury changes form geographically but not much.  Someone still makes sure your belly is full, the bed is cushioned and yes your are next to a body that more or less regulates the temperature for you... You watch out for no.1 and someone else watches for you.  When things get icky or uncomfortable you just holler and hello... diapers are changed, you get cleaned up, or your mouth gets filled... again Nostalgic   Nostalgic because we all have vague memories that fade ...

Choking Communities

Are you Choking Communities?    How do you view and speak about otherness, when in angst, burnout or culture shock? I doubt she was aware of dominionism’s effect on her worldview and the cognitive dissonance lived out.     This ‘power over’ approach is exhibited when academics refer to lack of training to "Band-Aid" dilemmas while skilled but nonacademic experts ...

Garage Time

My Toyota Station Wagon is getting patched up (read Panel Beating / Repair). I don't feel any different after Bilateral Hernia repair on 31st Dec & Jaw - Bone / Gum grafting on Monday the 9th Feb 09. Seems everything is a work in progress. Wear & Tear tells of time gone by... Fun & distress, smooth highways & bumpy roads. Greatest patchwork though is the one done to my heart when I recognized my brokenness and emptiness when I didn't know who, what, whom, when, where, why etc... NOW I am discovering with JC. From day one the work continues... sometimes bad fundis murk it up but when I go back to the Manufacturers manual... well watch this space Garage Time
